Learn how to provide targeted support that ensures every mother and baby receives equitable care, regardless of socio-economic or racial factors.

Mindful Communication & Counsel

Master the art of compassionate communication and supportive counseling during the birthing process. Equip yourself with techniques to empower and guide individuals through their unique childbirth journey.

Conception and Early Pregnancy

Discover essential insights into fertility interventions and coping strategies for early pregnancy loss. Gain knowledge in nutrition and prenatal care to optimize maternal and fetal health.

Pregnancy

You will be trained to expertly guide clients to understand expected physical and emotional changes of pregnancy. Also provide evidence-based recommendations unique to clients culture and lifestyle.

Owning the Labor and Birth

Help clients gain confidence in navigating labor and birth scenarios. You’ll guide them in understanding their rights and preferences, enabling them to make informed decisions about medical interventions to ensure a positive birthing experience.

Post-Birth Procedures

Guide clients through post-birth procedures, teaching them best practices for newborn care, including the benefits of delayed cord clamping and skin-to-skin contact. You’ll also help them understand essential medical interventions and vaccines that protect their infant’s health.

The First Twenty-Four Hours

As a certified Maternity Mentor, you will prepare clients for the initial hours after birth by providing insights into hospital roles and responsibilities. You’ll help them understand common newborn behaviors and needs, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into parenthood.

Destined for Discharge

Guide clients through the discharge process with confidence, helping them manage expectations and prepare for home care responsibilities. You’ll assist in establishing routines that promote the well-being of both parent and baby during this crucial phase.

Support During Transition

Discover strategies for supporting parents during the transition home. Learn how to provide practical assistance and emotional support that eases the adjustment to new routines and responsibilities.

In the Thick of Postpartum

Help clients understand the physical and emotional changes of the postpartum period. You’ll equip them with coping strategies and self-care practices that support their overall well-being during this transformative time.

Year One Follow-Up

Ensure ongoing support and care for clients through regular follow-ups. You’ll learn how to monitor developmental milestones, address emerging needs, and provide continuous support to families throughout their journey.

Mentor Check-In Schedule

Learn the plan for how we stay in touch with clients requiring support past the one year mark. These clients will be offered ongoing mentorship and guidance as needed. Staying connected will help clients navigate the challenges of early parenthood. This leads to a greater sense of support, safety and emotional well being which will positively impact the entire family.
